Nothing says “springtime” in Southern Utah like the St. George Art Festival with its vibrant display of original works of art, live performances on two stages, an entertaining children’s area and a wide variety of food booths to satisfy any pallet. All this is set in the community’s gathering place known as the Town Square at 50 So. Main Street (an added feature to the Festival in the Town Square is a fully-restored and very popular carousel, fountains and water features, numerous bronze art works, scattered through flower gardens, and surrounded by historic buildings).
Now in its 36th year, the St. George Art Festival, open free-of-charge for wandering and gazing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4, showcases the talent and unique creations of approximately 110 local and national artists juried from hundreds of entries from throughout the United States.
The St. George Art Festival, produced by the City of St. George Leisure Services Department, is no small event with more than 30,000 in attendance. Festival-goers are families, friends and neighbors from the local community as well as visitors from around the West coming together in beautiful downtown St George every Easter weekend since 1980.
