The annual harvest celebration – known as the Enterprise Corn Fest – is a happy combination of “county-fair” type activities during the day and dancing to live music at night; a vintage car show; and the best corn-on-the-cob ever fresh from the fields … all in a small town America setting. But that’s not all! Besides corn eating, sure-to-please events throughout the day also include a softball and volleyball tournament, mechanical bull, half-marathon and 5k, booths, Dutch oven dinner, and live entertainment.
Every year about 5,000 local residents, tourists and passers-by travel the 25-mile trip through our red rock desert up Utah Hwy.18 from downtown St. George to the Enterprise City Park located at 400 East 400 South in Enterprise, hometown to about 1800 Southern Utah residents.
No question, corn grown and harvested in Enterprise, noted for productive farms and tidy homes and gardens, is some of the sweetest and best tasting crop found here in the desert. Amazing corn is grown both commercially and privately and everyone takes pride in their crop. When its time to harvest, they celebrate together and with anyone who wants to join them here in one of the coolest spots in Washington County. Admission to the 27th annual Enterprise Cornfest on Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. is free.
