The 39th Annual St. George Art Festival, held as always on Easter weekend – this year March 30-31- is a testament to what visionary leadership can do to take a small idea and turn it into something amazing and grand. What began 38 years ago as a way to showcase the work of local artists has evolved into an event attracting more than 100 artists – in every venue, including oils, water color, ceramics, photography, jewelry and the broad category of “other” – juried from hundreds of submissions from across the United States. Not only will festival-goers enjoy incredible, one-of-a-kind works of art, over 30,000 residents and visitors to our red rock community, will also enjoy live entertainment on two stages, a children’s area full of interesting and fun activities for your little ones, and a variety of food items from which to choose.
The site for the St. George Art Festival is our Historic Town Square, the most popular place in the entire city, located on Main Street next to the St. George LDS Tabernacle. In addition to the Art Festival, the park has multiple water features including a splash pad, waterfall, a lazy river, a collection of bronze statuary and the St. George Carousel.
