Sure and begorrah, Springdale – just outside the gates of Zion National Park – really knows how to throw a St. Patrick’s Day party! This year, Springdale’s annual St. Patty’s Day will be held on Saturday, March 18 beginning at 2 p.m. with a parade (entries will line up on Lion Blvd. at 1:30 p.m.), including the award-winning Utah Pipe Bands with pipers, drummers and highland dancers. Of course, there’s certain to be a big snake and lots of green going on!
Following the parade, the party will move to the Bit and Spur restaurant, where the Utah Pipe Band will offer up another performance; then, there will be a Green Jello eating contest (we’re in Utah, after all); a bounce house for the kids and great food as well as a beer and wine garden for the adults.
There will also be continuous live music and lots of Southern Utah-style Irish fun! If that’s not enough to make you put on your “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” t-shirt, Springdale restaurants will be trying to “out best” each other with their Irish menu offerings, so take your pick and come hungry
When you’ve had your fill of Irish music and good food come home to your comfortable and affordable home-away-from-home by registering online for either St. George Resort Rentals at www.stgeorgeresortrentals.com or www.laspalmasresortcondos.com for Five Seasons Vacation condominiums.
