Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts will once again light up for the holiday tradition of Christmas in the Canyon. This fun and festive family activity, held every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from the day after Thanksgiving to the last performance on December 23, is a feast for the eyes and an opportunity to whisper your yuletide secret wishes into Santa’s ear.
This beautiful evening under the stars is a FREE walk through decorated trees, a visit with Santa Claus, reminiscing with friends and family around a glowing fire. There is, however, a charge for food and drink concessions with prices varying according to items purchased. A ride around Tuacahn’s grounds on the Old Salty Train is $2 per person. The Live Nativity – the highlight of the evening with a cast of more than 85 community volunteers re-telling the story of the first Christmas – also has a $2 per person charge.
Bring the kids, friends or family and dress warmly because despite our famously hot summer months, it does get cold during our winter nights.
