What does the Disney TV show “Phineas and Ferb” have in common with St. George, UT? The answer is Christmas lights … lots and lots of Christmas lights!
The Disney show follows the adventures of stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, who live in the fictional city of Danville, in a (never specified) tri-state area, as they seek ways to occupy their time during their summer vacation. Often these adventures involve elaborate, life-sized and ostensibly dangerous construction projects.
So, while the Christmas lighting of a Heritage Drive home in the Indian Hills subdivision of St. George isn’t “ostensibly dangerous” it is a very elaborate and life-sized construction project. The 2015 1st place winner of $50,000 on the ABC-TV’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight” is a brilliantly lit, holiday-themed castle from the cartoon series. You’ll want to do a drive-by or a walkabout while visiting in the St. George area, but in its lit-up glory, the Phineas and Ferb light display is also popular with the locals. You will certainly be amazed at this fantastic display, but be forewarned. You are certain to have a bit of a wait to reach the front view of the house.
There are several incredible holiday displays around town so ask our staff for directions to more twinkling lights in our community, then bundle up and enjoy the fun.
