Turnning Asphalt Into Art at the Kayenta Street Painting Festival

The Kayenta Street Painting Festival is one of those events you have to see to believe.  From 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and again on Sunday, April 30 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., as many as 25 professional artists and several talented teams of teenagers will, according to event organizers, “turn the asphalt pathways of Kayenta Art Village into a massive canvas.”  The day will also include great musical entertainment, amazing food and, of course, fabulous art on view in the shadow of beautiful red cliffs not far from Ivins, UT.

This year, event organizers decided not to hamper artistic creativity and let imagination take over without a specific theme.  Awards will be presented for the winners of voting in the categories of People’s Choice and Best of Show.
